FDA submissions will need to include proof that the product is safe and effective for use by intended users in the intended use environment. In this presentation, we will introduce the audience to the field of Human Factors, discuss why the FDA regulates Human Factors, and review the FDA’s expected Human Factors process that focuses on use error identification and mitigation. We will also outline the benefits of incorporating Human Factors into the product development process. Audience discussion and questions will be encouraged.
