The Central/ South Texas region is primed to be the next bioscience hotspot in the US, with valuable resources all over Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding counties. We are excited to be taking the first steps toward this transformation by announcing the 2nd ever BioTX Corridor Mixer: Linking Austin, San Antonio, and the counties in between.

Join us on August 8th from 4:00-6:00 pm at the STAR Park labs in San Marcos, Texas to take part in this networking and knowledge event. We will be bringing together start-ups, established companies, technical support organizations and investors to hear from 2 entrepreneurs who have leveraged Central/South Texas resources to advance their companies.

Parking will be free, and refreshments will be available.

Rosefest 2023

At our December BioBash, Casey McPherson shared with us about his foundation, To Cure a Rose, where he has partnered with Central Texas bioscience communities to find a cure for rare genetic diseases. This amazing festival is bringing together some of the biggest names in Texas music, including Cory Morrow, Alpha Rev, and Broken Arrow, and other special guests at Buck’s Backyard! A once in a lifetime experience of rock, country, and folk in one show and only 27min from downtown Austin, Texas. 

All proceeds from the concert and auction will go to support the To Cure a Rose Foundation, which is dedicated to finding new treatments for children with rare genetic diseases. So come on out, enjoy some great music, and help make a difference in the lives of kids who need it most!

The BioMedSA Award for Innovation in Healthcare and Bioscience celebrates local and national innovators in the healthcare and bioscience industry, including patient care, education, research and development, leadership, public policy and medical technology.

In 2023, the Innovation Award will be presented at a formal dinner in San Antonio, where healthcare and bioscience industry leaders can come together to celebrate healthcare innovation. The dinner will highlight and contribute to the collaborative spirit of the life science industry in San Antonio. Old associations will be rekindled in person and new relationships formed as industry leaders interact during the social hour preceding the dinner and the networking time after the dinner.
