The EU AI Act is Here
The EU AI Act entered into force on August 2, 2025, introducing immediate penalties for general-purpose AI models and setting the compliance clock in motion. The next milestone is August 2, 2027, when mandatory obligations for high-risk AI systems — including medical devices and IVDs — fully apply.
What does this mean for your organization?
- General-purpose AI models are now subject to new requirements.
- High-risk AI systems will soon face stricter obligations.
- Penalties can reach up to 3% of global revenue or €15M.
