The City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Economic Development Corporation (SAEDC), and VelocityTX are proud to host the Third Military Medical Industry Day on April 19, 2022, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Military Medical Industry Day events are intended to bring together military researcher organizations, industry, academia, non-profit organizations, and other organizations to exchange ideas and enable collaborative medical research and development (R&D), discuss military needs, obtain information on funding opportunities, and enable community commercialization opportunities to address needs and create lifesaving technologies.

Bio-Techne Seeking a Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager, CDx, will be responsible for developing and supporting high-value opportunities and strategic pharma partnerships and bringing brand awareness of Bio-Techne’s capabilities in the Companion Diagnostics area.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in business development in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably in companion diagnostics.
  • Understanding of the co-development process for CDx and the associated R&D, clinical, regulatory and commercial frameworks preferred
  • Familiarity with molecular diagnostics and pharmaceutical development and the major relevant underlying technologies
  • Ability to seek, drive, and execute long term, revenue driven opportunities in the pharma and biotech sector
  • Previous experience of presenting to key decision makers on business solutions and service offerings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success working on a cross-functional team and leading commercial teams
  • Results-driven with demonstrated ability to find solutions to achieve company goals in an effective, efficient manner
  • Enthusiasm for domestic and international travel as required to support active projects
  • Minimum 4 years business development experience
  • Education – Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, preferably Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry; advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in any of these disciplines or business preferred.
