Biofest Invest
Biofest Invest pitch companies haveraised $69 million from investors nationwide over the past 3 years of the competition. Because we only open this competition to Texas based biomedical startups (medtech, digital health, biotech, pharma, diagnostics, etc.), this is huge for the overall Texas bioscience ecosystem and a great opportunity for companies to present themselves in front of local and national investors, many of whom will be speaking during the event.
Every company accepted into the competition will receive help in preparation from UTSA’s Technology Commercialization Center or theBridge to Bio program with a free pitch practice session and content review from their staff (zoom or in-person).
The winner of the 2024 BioFest Invest Pitch Competition will receive $10,000 in cash plus additional pro bono services.

Stellarray, Inc Seeking Imaging Systems Physicist
X-ray imaging physicist/engineer to help develop portable tomographic medical imaging systems for digital breast tomosynthesis and trauma imaging. Primary responsibilities are source and system design. Need broad experience with advanced x-ray imaging systems, including detectors, reconstruction algorithms, AI, image transmission and reading. Mammographic radiology experience would be ideal.
Requirements to apply: Advanced degree in Radiography, Physics, Optics, EE or similar field. Successful, hands-on development of x-ray imaging systems or new sources for imaging systems. Experience with high voltage systems, including power supplies and amplifiers.

Stellarray, Inc Seeking Technical Advisory Board
Stellarray is developing portable x-ray tomosynthesis systems, including a portable 3D mammography systems for underserved populations and a portable trauma imaging system for emergency and military use. We are expanding our Technical Advisory Board to add expertise in these areas. TAB members help shape our approach to developing these systems and receive equity (options) in our company.
Medical qualifications and experience in radiography, especially mammography required. Engineering experience will be beneficial. Contact Mark Eaton for more information.
