BioTX Corridor

Connecting the Austin to San Antonio Mega-region in Life Science

The Central/ South Texas region is primed to be the next bioscience hotspot in the US, with valuable resources all over Austin, San Antonio, and surrounding areas. We are excited to be taking the first steps toward this transformation by announcing the next BioTX Corridor Mixer.

Join us on Tuesday, January 23rd from 4:00-6:00 pm at the STAR Park labs in San Marcos, Texas, to take part in this networking and knowledge event. We will be bringing together start-ups, established companies, technical support organizations and investors from around the area, to meet and build a stronger foundation around the life science ecosystem.

This month’s agenda topic will be discussing the new biomedical federal funding agency, ARPA-H, recently located to Texas. For those who have attended previous ARPA-H information session, new information will be provided on opportunities to interact with the agency.

Registration is limited and will include parking, refreshments, and 2 drink tickets for either beer or wine at the bar.

STEM Muse Seeking Mentors

STEM Muse is a mentorship network supporting women and people with underrepresented genders in STEM fields in higher education, currently at University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College.We are seeking mentors to provide guidance, network resources, and support for a mentee in a one-on-one capacity, once a month over a six-month period. Along with communicating with mentees over email and/or video calls, the mentor has the opportunity to attend networking and professional development events. All program activities and interactions with mentees can take place in-person or fully remote.
